Characters do stuff to their appearance to hide their identity a lot in anime.

OR simply to hide his awesomeness in order to find his true love. I mean, the only son of a bulti-milionaire whom has strong connection with the mayor of a advanced and developed city would only be surrounded by moochers, sluts, and hawkers mi rite?
those are all pretty valid points, guess I wasn't thinking very broadly. That, and I haven't watched the newer episodes yet, so I didn't know any of that.
