  • 朝はフランちゃん♡

    「おにちやん~!一緒にお昼寝しようね~!♡」
Flan-chan wants to take a nap, but a human is missing... She needs someone to hug, a neck to nuzzle.

(Day #558): I wanted to practice drawing hair. I drew hair, and added Flan-chan. It is a simple concept. Flan-chan hugs you, wraps you around in her wings underneath the blanket as she sleeps. You won't be able to leave until it is night. It is very warm and comfortable.

I accidentally merged all of my layers before exporting the sketches, so there are no sketches.

I want to go for a soft art style, where the colors mix together in harmony. This illustration had all colors of a rainbow. I drew the concept, then sketch it out and just immediately start adding colors and shading. It was against my principle not to draw line art, but I think this illustration came out better than I imagined. I have become better at picking colors and my skills have somewhat improved overall, as I no longer have to rely on blending modes and filters during rendering to pick my colors. I still use a few filters for post-processing and finishing though. All artists do that apparently.

The reason why I don't post as much because the time it takes to progress gets exponentially longer. It is a trial and error hell, and I have felt sad many times. That's why my delay between new illustrations have been getting longer and longer, and I am sorry.

The next post will take a while... I want to study an artist's art style and improve my own.
Drawing is very hard, and I hope you understand that it is getting harder for me to improve. It is not about following tutorials anymore, it is about long hours of practicing and researching other artists' works.
    Thank you for waiting.
