Yeah, they are not affiliated with G&K. G&K itself got restructured, having only Frostfall squad (Qiongjiu, Lind, Cheeta and Tololo) as a combat unit.

That's true, but there's still a lot of residual GnK branding on the Elmo. Notably there's a giant emblem–kinda like this one–in the refitting room background. It's also shown up a few more places I'm having trouble recalling. So all in all it wouldn't surprise me if a room like the one shown here existed somewhere aboard.
