When Polnareff met Dio alone in his castle, he was about to approach him by walking up a set of stairs. However, no matter how many times he tried, he couldn't reach the highest step of the stairs (Where Dio was). The bewildered Polnareff was literally sweating bullets, since he didn't know that Dio stopped the time and pushed him back to the beginning.
