Wearing a swimsuit specially made for her at Kourindou, Tenshi Hinanawi made her way out to sea with Shion riding her Universe Ring. The Universe Ring is a precious artifact, but it was currently being used as a fishing boat. Tenshi had chosen their fishing spot totally at random, without considering where the fish might actually be. She figured that with her good fortune, they’d be able to catch dozens of fish. However, that wasn’t the case…

Shion Yorigami is the older of the two Yorigami sisters, and once again today, she’s out fishing with Tenshi while wearing matching swimsuits. Fishing wasn’t just a hobby of theirs, they also did it to provide themselves with meals. Despite Shion’s fishing rod being an artifact that Tenshi had lent her, she couldn’t catch a single fish. Unable to even catch herself a rubber boot, she stared silently at her float bobbing on the waves.

“Not even a nibble… I’m starving,” groaned Shion.
“Cheer up. We’ve only just started,” replied Tenshi with a carefree smile.
Searing rays of sunlight shone down as a warm breeze blew and salty sea air filled their lungs. But Shion was on edge, knowing that, at any moment, she might feel a tug on her fishing line.
“If I catch a fish, I can take it to the gardener on the shore and ask her to fillet it for me. And then, and then…!” thought Shion as she imagined herself catching a fish.
Without realizing, she began gripping her fishing rod a little tighter.

“Fish without a net. Hunt without shooting the nest.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means not everything is about being efficient. Just like with friendships.”
“Right…”
Every cast of the fishing line mattered. Tenshi didn’t know what was going through Shion’s head as she held her fishing rod tightly, showing no signs of giving up. Tenshi did know, however, that she enjoyed spending time with her.

Shion’s silver fishing line dropped down into the sea as beads of sweat rolled down her forehead. The float she had been staring at before suddenly sank beneath the waves.
“I got one! I GOT ONE!” Shion gripped the fishing rod with all her strength and reeled in her catch. And what a catch it was! She’d caught herself a dorsal-finned shark.
“I know it’s a shark, but we can still eat it, right?”
“I think so.”
“Can you make sushi with it?”
“I dunno…” Tenshi couldn’t help but chuckle at Shion’s rotten luck.
