woah, hey, Alita's not a gynoid! Unless I'm very much mistaken, gynoid = sex robot (gynoid, gynecologist, gyn= vagina?) and they established that Alita doesn't have one, in one of the later books.
Gyne = woman. Gynecologist means doctor who specialices in specifically female bits, gynoid means female-shaped. C.f. andrologist (doctor who sees a lot of assholes in his line of work), and android (man-shaped). So a gynoid is a female android.
