    Seems someone has gained "righteous fury". It also seems that nothing can keep down a kappa. Those brave souls. ;_;

"My lord"? I thought that was usually translated as Master o.o

In the end, Kappas are unfortunate.

You got to feel both bad and inspired by those Kappa. I mean they work themselves to needing medical attention and being sidelined but as soon as they're cleared to go again get back to work fixing all the damage the named cast does to the ring.

Wonder if they're getting free stuff out of this...

Well, Tewi did treat them to a Manchu Han Imperial Feast back in post #823700

Not to mention the fact that they just witnessed Nitori take a savage beating in a needlessly drawn out match that she had no hope of winning. The repair bill will be their retribution.

it was Nitori's pride that ultimately dragged it out.

Marisa had no chance of winning to begin with. This whole match was pretty much useless since the artist probably wrote himself into a corner during the early comics.

So Shou is depressed that she only got to participate in one round? Or something?

I wasn't meaning to criticize either side, my point was that it must have been painful to watch for the kappa girls.

Agreed. This whole thing was a farce. Reimu obviously wasn't going to concede (let's face it, that's a lot of reward dough) and she's not to be beaten because she has plot armor... *sigh* looks like I'll only be rooting for Okuu now... poor Marisa >_<

*facepalm* Know I'm way late to the party, but Marisa had no chance because she was something worse than a heel: she was a poser. She did her whole speech about how standing up to those stronger than you requires being willing to do anything, to give anything, and she was right about that. But when it came to the "anything" being the life of a friend, she caved in... as she damn well should have! It's just a tournament after all, it's not supposed to be that serious. The moment Marisa tried to act like it was, she turned the match into an ideological game of chicken, and Narrative demands such claims be tested to the fullest. It was a calculated risk, and she miscalculated.

These comments are just pissing me off more and more. People whine that they wanted the underdog to win for once, but when they actually do the sort of things an underdog needs to do to win, everyone whines because they "didn't do it right". If they could win the "right" way, they wouldn't be the damn underdogs in the first place, now would they?

Excuse me, but am I the only one who thinks it's kind of bullshit that Byakuren took part in the whole "Anti-Reimu" plot?

As a devout Buddhist, shouldn't she believe in notions like humility and truth? And by way of the Buddha's teachings, be opposed to people cheating to get what they want?

    She's basically the Dalai Llama.

So... why the fuck did she help Marisa and Nitori to cheat?

She's not a very good Buddhist.

    ... what could it be...
    It is indeed over, Master.
    It's over, huh.
We will end today's spectacle on that note.
