    Or long story short: Byakuren is basically the saviour of the youkai and aims for Human/youkai equality. She is also Bhuddist, and happened to build her temple on top of the place where Miko was sealed.

    Miko is Taoist and a hermit, and would like to exterminate the youkai since, well...hermits are tasty to youkai. Furthermore, she was originally sealed by Bhuddists, and Byakuren tried to prevent her ressurection. So yeah, these two characters clash in EVERY respect.

    Miko's not a hermit, she's a saint.
    She dislikes Byakuren because Byakuren is a Buddhist not because Byakuren herself helped seal Miko away.
