A character from Mister Ajikko. Also known as Ajiou (lit: Emperor of Taste), he the head of the eponymous Ajiou Group, a cooking association that spans all of Japan.
He is an elderly man with extremely refined tastes, able to quickly discern the methods and flaws in a chef's cooking. At the start of the series, he recognized Ajiyoshi Youichi's great talent and invited the child prodigy to join their group. Since then, he has been a supporter of Youichi, often acting behind the scenes to help him in various ways.
His catchphrase is yelling out Umai zo! (Delicious!) whenever he eats something particularly good. This is often accompanied by overly dramatic beams of light shooting out of his mouth.
