    halberd

    ハルバード

A popular and versatile polearm. Its main distinguishing features are a head consisting of an axe blade, a spearhead, and a hook or angled spike opposite the axe.

While the term halberd refers specifically to the medieval/renaissance European polearm, similar polearms such as the knightly poleaxe/pollaxe and Chinese qinglong ji also fall under this category.

Not to be confused with Meta Knight's signature battleship.
