    It was totally an "Eric! Above you!" moment.

    This sort of stuff happens too.

    A meme based on the death of Eric der Vogelweid in the video game God Eater. A character warns him, "Eric! Ue da!" ("Eric! Above you!"), and Japanese fans have therefore nicknamed him Eric Ueda.

    I think it's actually meant to be a play on "Gianism", the philosophy of the Doraemon bully character Gian (pronounced like "giant" without the "T") that "What's mine is mine, and what's yours is mine." (If you knew that and were just being tongue in cheek, my apologies for not catching it.)
