I drank a good bit of the most basic kind a few years back when I was in Taiwan. It's pretty crisp and easy to drink, without being light like a lot of American beer. ... It was also cheaper than a lot of other options in 7-11's or other convenience stores, sometimes cheaper than water when it's on sale. But I might be wearing my nostalgia lenses.
