Not that the players stopped calling her bunny ears. Even the devs are on it.

But doesn't Danbooru rules say to tag what you see, not what you know? We see what looks like bunny ears, but you have to know that they are fox ears.

Another way to look at it, who would be interested in seeing this image? People searching for fox_ears or people searching for bunny_ears?

There can be many reasons to make them look like bunny ears:

• to make fun of it ("bunny girl")
• looks cute

Personally, I assume since the possessing spirit is a huge nine-tailed fox, it can be depicted with such ears, with the most famous one seen in Naruto.

But that still requires knowing that she's possessed by a fox. No one *sees* that. Everyone *sees* bunny ears.

I would say that Danbooru's "tag what you see" is more a guideline than a strict rule.
I mean we have the relationship tags for example, which strictly speaking isn't really something you can see.

Besides, fox ears has been used to tag her a bunch of times, compared to bunny ears which is only a handful. It makes more sense to change the latter to the former instead of the other way around.
Also one other thing, her wiki page listed fox ears since last year.

Perhaps because it is too long and thin, some people often mistakenly think that the ear of the animal is rabbit ear, but actually it is fox ear. However, in the post bar, some people found that the ears of the eight cherry trees are very similar to the props "lucky rabbit ears" in the matrix. Others found that the ears are also very similar to the donkey ears, but no one thought it was fox ears.
