I'm guessing interruption from a third person. The fact that Otaku's dialogue is drifting/slowing down makes me think he's either catching on or just giving her the moment to finish her own thought/sentence, so it's not likely to be him interrupting.

I suppose that if he somehow spots Kinjyou down by the bonfire he might say something to ruin everything, but since he's currently facing Osanai that's a bit less likely when added to how high up they are
