    That person was exaggerating. Apple seeds contain cyanide, but it's such a miniscule amount you would need to be shoveling bowls of seeds into your mouth to actually be at risk of cyanide poisoning. There are no short or long term consequences of eating apple cores unless you're eating dozens a day.

    Apple cores being bad for you is just an old wives tale.
